This summary is only a guide. The numbered sections below are the notice.
Contents
1. Who we are
1.1 Who runs this website
This website, centrelineventures.com, is run by Centreline Ventures Ltd (company number 17432379), a private limited company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. In this notice, "we", "us" and "our" mean Centreline Ventures Ltd.
1.2 Our role
We are the "controller" of the personal data described here, which means we decide how and why it is used. You can contact us at support@everycrossing.com, our contact address for all of our products. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller (registration number ZC270857).
1.3 What this notice covers
This notice covers this website only. Our products have their own privacy policies: the Every Crossing app and website are covered by the policy at everycrossing.com/privacy.
1.4 Words we use
- "Personal data" means any information about an identifiable person, such as a name or an email address.
- "UK GDPR" means the UK General Data Protection Regulation, together with the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. The information we collect
| What | Details | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Technical data | When you visit, our hosting provider records technical details such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you ask for, and the date and time. | Our hosting provider, automatically |
| Emails you send us | Your name and email address if they appear in your message, and whatever you write to us. | You |
| Your display choice | If you use the light and dark mode switch, your choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It stays on your device and is not sent to us. | You, on your device |
2.1 Cookies and trackers
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or social media trackers, and it has no forms. It loads its fonts from our own servers and not from other companies.
3. Why we use your information, and our legal basis
The law says we must have a "legal basis" for using personal data. These are the ones we rely on.
| Purpose | Legal basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Deliver the website to you and keep it secure, including protecting it from attacks and misuse | Legitimate interests: running a secure website |
| Read and reply to the emails you send us | Legitimate interests, or taking steps at your request |
| Meet legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims | Legal obligation, and legitimate interests |
We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to make decisions about you that have legal effects.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed our interest against your rights and expectations. You can ask us for more detail about that, and you can object (see section 7).
4. Who we share it with
| Provider | What it does for us | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts this website, manages our domain and protects the site from attacks. It sees visitors' IP addresses. | Global network |
| Zoho | Our email provider. It runs the mailbox that receives messages sent to our contact address. | European data centres |
We may also share information where the law requires it, to protect rights or safety, or in a sale or restructuring of our business.
5. Sending information outside the UK
Our providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure it is protected as the law requires, for example by using UK-approved transfer safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or by relying on an adequacy decision.
6. How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Technical records | Kept by our hosting provider only for the short period needed to run and secure the website, under its own retention settings. |
| Emails you send us | For as long as needed to deal with your message, and a reasonable time afterwards in case you write to us again about it. |
7. Your rights
7.1 Your rights under UK law
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your data;
- ask us to restrict how we use your data, or object to some uses;
- receive your data in a portable format, where this applies.
7.2 How to use your rights
To use any of these rights, email support@everycrossing.com. We will reply within one month. We do not charge for this. If we are unsure who you are, we may ask you to confirm it before we share or change anything.
7.3 Complaints, and if you live outside the UK
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, and we would appreciate the chance to put it right first. If you live outside the UK, you also have the rights your local law gives you, and you can contact us in the same way.
8. Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and uses security settings that limit what other sites can do with its pages. No online service can promise perfect security.
If a security incident is likely to put your rights and freedoms at risk, we will tell you and, where the law requires it, the Information Commissioner's Office.
9. Children
This website is for adults and businesses and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
